Feng Shui Elements

"Feng" means wind and "Shui" means water.  These are the basic elements for living which are continually moving and flowing. The principles of Feng Shui and the elements used allow us to live in harmony with our enviornments.  Feng Shui is based on Five (natural) Chinese Elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. These are not just elements.  Each have their own attributes, moods, colors, purposes, and even animal association.

Feng Shui is based upon the relationship between the Five Elements.  Each of these elements have individual energies (qi) that assist us in maintaining balance and harmony in our lives and enviornments. These elements combined with the philosophies of Feng Shui teach us how to maintain proper balance and create harmony with and within each of our enviornments and ourselves.

It is important to balance the flow of the elements energies in the designs of the spaces we occupy and how we dress. There is a productive and destructive sequence of these elements.  Without proper balance - energies are blocked, creativity is interrupted, harmony turns to discord and we stop growing. As you apply the Feng Shui principles and use the elements associated with your particular requirements to balance, you will discover that as each area of your life becomes balanced a new opportunity will open up for you to grow and branch out.

The BAGUA can help you with placing these elements in certain areas of your home, office or room.
